Dried Corn Husks



Dried corn husks for making tamales. There are so many variations on these. While tamales are traditionally wrapped in corn husks, you can also wrap them in banana leaves. They can be made with most any kind of meat or vegetarian filling. Can be sweet or savory. You can even make tamales for dessert!
Before these corn husks can be used, they have to be washed and steamed for flexibility so you can spread easily the dough.
Other food can be wrapped in corn husk for cooking in the same way that you use foil, wax, or parchment paper.
